Answering the Call
Senior Pastor Brett Dood steps into a new role supporting the men and women who protect and serve our community.
The Ripon Police Department recently welcomed Pastor Brett Dood as its new volunteer chaplain.
Pastor Brett serves as Senior Pastor at Calvary Reformed Church and has called Ripon home for more than nine years. His heart for service and community involvement makes him a natural fit for this important role.
While chaplains are often associated with providing spiritual guidance, their work extends far beyond faith-based support. Law enforcement officers regularly encounter difficult situations, including accidents, loss, trauma, and high-stress incidents. Chaplains serve as a trusted resource, offering a listening ear, emotional support, encouragement, and a confidential place for officers and staff to process the unique challenges that come with serving the public.
As a volunteer chaplain, Pastor Brett will provide one-on-one spiritual care and support for members of the department, helping strengthen the overall well-being of those who work every day to keep our community safe.
The Ripon Police Department is excited to welcome Chaplain Dood to the team and looks forward to the positive impact he will have on both the department and the community it serves.
