Inaugural Ripon Turkey Trail Run

As harvest ends and autumn's crisp air arrives, runners are preparing for the Ripon Turkey Trail Run on Saturday, November 16, at Mavis Stouffer Park. This event features 5k, 10k, and half marathon distances along the Stanislaus River trail.

The scenic route offers views of the river, trees, and Jack Tone Golf Course. The trail's flat terrain caters to all skill levels, providing a chance to enjoy nature before Thanksgiving.

Jonathan Meek, owner of Alpine Climbing, says, "We're excited to introduce a fall race and bring a half marathon distance back to Ripon. Running along the river trail is one of my favorite places to train and will be an outstanding course for a race."

Race Director Briana Cady adds, "Ripon hosts numerous events that showcase our city as the 'Jewel of the Valley.' The Ripon Turkey Trail Run highlights the Stanislaus River Trail while bringing the community together for a fun experience."

Registration is open. Join Alpine Running on Saturday mornings. Visit www.riponturkeytrailrun.com for more information and to register. Let's run, celebrate, and give thanks for health, community, and the great outdoors.
