Warm Hearts, Big Smiles: Teens Bring Holiday Cheer to Seniors
Hot cocoa, holiday tunes, and handmade decorations set the stage for a morning of connection and kindness
Over the holidays, I had the joy of watching some of our younger neighbors show the true spirit of giving at Ivy Park Senior Living. These compassionate student volunteers, part of the nonprofit group Heart of the City, truly made the holidays brighter in several ways for the residents.
The morning was filled with special moments as the teens spent time spreading Christmas cheer. They helped residents craft some festive door decorations that added a touch of holiday magic to their living spaces. The hot cocoa, freshly baked muffins, and the holiday tunes set the perfect backdrop for some very personal connections.
As a special touch, each resident was gifted a soft and cuddly stuffed animal, a token of love that left smiles on their faces and hearts full of joy.
It’s inspiring to see these teens foster community and kindness, bringing light to the lives of those around them.
If your teen would like to join Heart of the City and be a part of these meaningful efforts, please reach out to Terri Agcaoili, Foundation Advisor, at 661.205.4079 to learn how they can get involved. Together, we can continue to make a difference!
