I stopped by Drybar in the Belcourt Village recently to meet up with owner Mira Patel, and talk about her next venture in her ever-growing empire … Radiant Waxing (see Rolling Out the Welcome Mat in this edition), and ran into another advertising partner, Kristine Hertin, with Edward Jones.   

 

Seems like this was a well-planned “girls’ day out” where Kristine treated her office manager, Brianne Perales, and two of her lovely clients, Donna Tyner and Marianne Tarner, to one of Drybar’s signature “blowouts."

 

I heard a lot of laughter coming from the wash area and asked what was going on. Mira walked me back there, where I discovered that the fun had just begun … I mean, start with a little complimentary bubbly and who knows what kind of shenanigans will happen. 

 

I bypassed their feigned resistance and snapped a few pictures of the attentive staff treating these ladies to a bit of indulgence. 

 

But it wasn’t too far into my meeting with Mira that the treatment was done and the ladies were ready to show off their new 'dos … and head off to lunch for more fun and games. 

 

Proof positive that in the end, it wasn’t just about the blowouts or the bubbly – it was about laughter, connection, and the joy of simply having fun with friends.
