An Afternoon at the Movies
I watched Inside Out 2 during my summer break, and wow, it was awesome! This new Pixar movie is all about Riley, who’s now 13 years old. She’s moved schools, has to make new friends, and she’s trying to keep up with her favorite sport, hockey. It’s like a whole new world for her.
In the first movie, we got to know Riley’s main emotions: Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, and Fear. Joy was always the happy leader, Sadness made things a bit gloomy, Anger brought a lot of fire, Disgust had all the sass, and Fear kept Riley safe. They were super fun and made the movie really interesting.
Inside Out 2 introduces us to some new emotions because Riley is older now. We get to meet Anxiety, Envy, Embarrassment, and Boredom. Anxiety is always making Riley stressed out, Envy is all about jealousy and comparing to others, Embarrassment makes everything awkward, and Boredom just makes Riley feel restless and want to try new things.
The new movie shows Riley dealing with a lot of changes. She’s trying to fit in at her new school, make new friends, and keep playing hockey as she tries out for the team. She feels a lot of pressure and stress, especially with Anxiety and Embarrassment making things tough for her.
The storytelling in this movie is so creative, and it really goes deep into how Riley feels. It shows how these new emotions affect her, especially when she’s playing hockey with her friends. Sometimes, the emotions take over, and it gets really overwhelming for Riley, which I think a lot of us can relate to.
One thing I loved about Inside Out 2 is that it’s not just for kids. Even if you’re older, you’ll get it. It talks about how important emotions are and how they help us in life, like with communication, making decisions, and building friendships. It also shows that understanding our emotions can help with mental health.
The producers did a great job making this sequel just as good as the first one. They kept all the fun and added more depth, which made it even better. Inside Out 2 is a great reminder that while our emotions can be tough to deal with, they’re super important for growing up and getting through life.
Overall, Inside Out 2 is a fantastic movie that teaches us a lot about our feelings. It’s funny, touching, and really smart. It shows us that while we shouldn’t let our emotions take over, we need to understand and manage them to handle whatever life throws at us. If you liked the first movie, you’ll definitely love this one too!
