In late January, we were lucky enough to hold one of our neighborhood events – a “travel expo” – inside the brand new, beautiful, and cavernous Porsche Bakersfield showroom. This place is striking in the details that not only showcase their iconic vehicles, but in the comfort afforded to prospective buyers and owners alike.  We will do a separate Business Spotlight on this advertising partner later this year to show you around the facilities. 

 

But we are so thankful that they graciously offered to host our neighborhood event, where residents and guests were treated to charcuterie from Charcuterie by M, desserts from Bread & Honey, and accompanied by wine sampling by Avery from Tlo Wines here in town and Andy from Cairjn in Paso Robles.  

 

But the best part of the evening was being able to meet and talk to several travel experts, including our very own Fiona Hamilton Travel, who invited several of her travel partners to explore destinations, answer questions, and help residents plan for their next adventure this year.  Even your neighbor Cherif Guirguis, with LINQride Executive Car Service was on hand to talk about the convenience and joy of having a dedicated professional drive your family or group to LAX and back (who else dreads that drive?) ... or even for a day of wine tasting at Cairjn and other Paso region wineries. 

 

We definitely have a great time at our events … even if I don’t know every face that attends just yet.  But I’ll bet you’ll spot a friend or two in the photos from the event.
