Plenty of patriots filled The Park at River Walk during Thousand Flags weekend — people of all ages, backgrounds, and beliefs coming together to honor those who gave their lives so we could live ours in freedom. And just when the emotion of the weekend couldn’t get any stronger … a parachuter dropped from the sky to the amazement of the crowd.
