Lucas and Luna, Two Rescue Dogs Who Found Their Forever Home!
Maren and Ean with Lucas
Pets are an important part of many families in our neighborhood. They bring love, companionship, and a sense of purpose to our lives. In this article, we want to introduce you to two precious pets who are members of the Dennis family – Lucas and Luna.
Lucas and Luna are mixed-breed rescue dogs who have found their forever home with Sarah, Jason, Maren, and Ean Dennis. Lucas is nine years old, and Luna is just six months old, but both dogs have already made a big impact on their families' lives.
Lucas was found by a police officer near White Rock Lake when he was just a puppy. He was posted on a rescue site and caught the eye of the Dennis family, who were looking for a companion for their Jack Russell terrier, Moxie. When they met Lucas, they fell in love with him and took him home.
Luna, on the other hand, was their first attempt at being a foster family. She was found as a pup roaming the streets of Odessa and was transported to Dallas by a local rescue group. The Dennis family agreed to foster her until she could find her forever home, but they ended up adopting her themselves. Sarah says, “Luna is our ‘foster fail’.” Maren chose the name Luna after the Harry Potter character Luna Lovegood.
Lucas and Luna may be different ages and have different backgrounds, but they both have a special place in the hearts of the Dennis family. Sarah, Jason, Maren, and Ean all love how happy the dogs are to greet them when they come home, and they enjoy snuggling with both. They also appreciate how energetic and curious the dogs are about everything.
One of the things that makes Luna special is her amazing howl. The family says it's something you have to hear to believe. Lucas, on the other hand, knows how to dance. He may be getting older, but he still loves to move his feet and show off his moves.
Of course, no family with pets is complete without a few funny stories. The Dennis family has plenty of those too. One of the most memorable moments was when Luna ate Maren's homework. Luckily, they caught it on video, so they'll always have that memory to look back on and laugh about.
Overall, Lucas and Luna bring a lot of excitement and joy to the Dennis family's home. They may have started as rescue dogs, but now they're cherished members of the family. The Dennis family is grateful for the love and companionship that their pets bring into their lives, and they encourage others in the neighborhood who are thinking about getting a pet to consider adopting a rescue.
