May has arrived, and with it, the start of summer here in University Park! As we prepare for warmer temperatures and longer days, our community is buzzing with activity, and we can't wait to share it all with you in this month's issue.

In this edition, we're featuring some fantastic stories and articles that we think you'll enjoy. From our annual shout-out to rising fourth graders to a profile of an artist who specializes in art photography, there's something for everyone.

We're also excited to announce a new section in this issue, where we’ll introduce you to “Interesting People To Know”. This month’s profile features Chef Kent Rathbun, a well-known culinary master who has appeared on Iron Chef as well as other competitions.  

As we look ahead to the rest of the year, we're encouraged by the spirit of community that we see all around us. We know that our readers are some of the most passionate and engaged people, and we're proud to be your voice and your guide to all that our wonderful community has to offer.
