2025 Furry Scurry Recap: Walking for a Cause in Wash Park

On Saturday, May 3rd, Washington Park came alive with wagging tails and big hearts as hundreds of animal lovers gathered for the 2025 Furry Scurry! This annual two-mile charity walk supports Humane Colorado (formerly Dumb Friends League) in their mission to end pet homelessness and animal suffering.
Participants walked in honor of their own furry companions and to raise crucial funds for thousands of animals still waiting for a second chance. Thanks to the support of this compassionate community, the event continues to grow in impact and spirit.

In 2024 alone, Humane Colorado:
  • Provided over 300,000 nights of safe shelter,
  • Reached more than 13,000 people through humane education, and
  • Served over 7,000 pets at vaccine clinics across the Denver Metro area.
This year, we set out to raise $500 for the Humane Society of Colorado — and thanks to your incredible support, we surpassed our goal and raised $880!
Whether you walked, donated, or helped spread the word, you played a meaningful role in supporting animals in need.

Michelle, Honey, and the Peanuts Pals team would love to thank the following furry pals and their pawrents for donating to their fundraising page: Kona, Moose, Honey Bae, Bizzy, Felix & Enzo, Gio, Mulka, Banjo, Mia, Pebbles, Pluto, Frankie & Lucy, and Honey Bear

We’re so grateful for this community and can’t wait to do it again next year! If you missed the event, there’s still time to donate or get involved. Together, we can help every pet find their furever home.
