Meet Luna

A Spirited Canine Companion

In the vibrant tapestry of the Wash Park community, one furry resident stands out for her boundless energy and unwavering affection - Luna, the exuberant Golden Retriever who has stolen the hearts of her owners and neighbors alike. In an exclusive interview, Laura and Andrew, Luna's adoring human companions, share the enchanting tale of Luna's journey from Craigslist find to cherished family member.

"Luna came into our lives in the summer of 2018," Laura reminisces, "We found Luna on Craigslist, and we were hesitant to go visit, but when we got there we immediately knew we had to have her. I mean you can't go play with a litter of 2 month old golden retrievers and not walk away with one!"

Named after the lively and joyous tune "Luna" by Bombay Bicycle Club, Luna embodies the spirit of her namesake with her zest for life and boundless affection. "She truly loves unconditionally," Laura adds, "Her favorite pastime is snuggling up on the couch and resting her head on your lap for pets."

But Luna's charm extends beyond her affectionate nature; she's also quite the adventurer. Whether it's demolishing a stick in record time or sprinting towards the water for a refreshing swim, Luna's unbridled enthusiasm for life is infectious.

"Bonnie Brae Park is Luna's go-to hangout spot, but she's also a fan of chasing geese at Wash Park," Laura shares. "And when she dreams of adventures, it's always a hiking trip to the mountains followed by a well-deserved stop at McDonald's for some french fries."

As Luna continues to bring joy and laughter to the streets of our community, her legacy as a beloved companion and spirited explorer serves as a shining example of the special bond between humans and their furry friends. So the next time you find yourself strolling through the neighborhood, keep an eye out for Luna - the spirited soul who reminds us all to embrace life's adventures with a wagging tail, a lolling tongue, and an open heart.
