Finn is West Bellevue’s Social Butterfly

At just two years old, Finn, short for Finnegan, is already a familiar and much-loved face around West Bellevue. Owned by Allison Riley, Finn is a Cockapoo with striking black fur accented by white and brown markings, and a personality that’s just as eye-catching as his looks.

Finn’s name is a nod to Allison’s Irish roots on both sides of her family, making it a fitting choice for a pup who carries himself with confidence and charm. And charm he has plenty of. Whether he’s greeting neighbors or making fast friends with other dogs, Finn is about as extroverted as they come.
If you frequent Meydenbauer Beach Park, Wildwood Dog Park, or Downtown Bellevue Park, chances are you’ve seen Finn in action. These are some of his favorite spots and he’s known for having “so many friends in the neighborhood.” According to Allison, he may just be the most social pup she’s ever met.

One of Allison’s most memorable moments with Finn was running a 5K together in Bellevue, a testament to their active lifestyle and close bond. From running and hiking to visiting local breweries, Finn is rarely left out of the fun. Bellevue’s abundance of dog-friendly activities has made it the perfect place for them to grow together. Finn also has a few quirks that set him apart. Most notably, he can stand on his hind legs for an impressively long time, a trait that never fails to entertain those around him. “He thinks he’s a human,” Allison jokes.

As Allison’s first dog as an adult, Finn holds a special place in her life. Their bond is built on shared adventures, daily routines, and the simple joy of companionship. “I am so happy that he is part of my life,” she says. It’s clear that Finn feels the same way! With his friendly nature, adventurous spirit, and unmistakable presence, Finn is more than just a pet, he’s a true member of the West Bellevue community.
