Party With a Purpose!

One Circle, One Heart, One Community!

Some moments remind our community just how powerful it can be. The local One Circle Membership Group’s annual One Heart/One Community Party with a Purpose is one of those moments. At the party this past February, the heart of the Bellevue community grew stronger when West Bellevue community members, philanthropists, and local businesses came together and raised an incredible $380,009 to fight hunger for local children.

One Circle is a membership group that volunteers, raises funds, and raises awareness for local nonprofit Bellevue LifeSpring’s mission to break the cycle of poverty for Bellevue children and provide them with the resources they need to reach stability. The One Heart/One Community Party with a Purpose focused on raising funds that provide emergency nutrition support for the more than 4,726 Bellevue students experiencing food insecurity.

The energy in the room was contagious, with guests raising their paddles, engaging in heartfelt conversations, and showing their commitment to giving. “Walking into the party immediately brought a smile! Seeing how caring, loving, and supportive the guests were throughout the evening was truly heartwarming,” shared One Circle Member Susie Goldman.

For more than 112 years, Bellevue LifeSpring has been rooted in the belief that neighbors helping neighbors can change lives. The organization was founded in 1911 by a trailblazing group of women in Hunts Point who saw a need in their community and took it upon themselves to help their neighbors. While Bellevue has grown and evolved over the decades, one thing has remained constant—the community's unwavering commitment to care for its own.

“One of the biggest highlights of this event was witnessing the incredible dedication of the women behind One Circle, who devoted countless hours to ensuring a successful evening. Witnessing our guests celebrate and genuinely support our cause was truly meaningful,” shared One Circle Member Gardenia Banks. “I hope the impact of One Heart/One Community and the unconditional love behind it extends far beyond this moment and creates a ripple effect throughout Bellevue. No child in our community should go to bed hungry, and we are committed to ensuring they don't.”

The event would not have been possible without the leadership of One Circle Co-Chairs Randi Brazen, Liz Hale, Annemarie Marcus, and Trish Carpenter, whose dedication played a key role in its success. Bellevue LifeSpring also recognizes One Heart/One Community Legacy Partner, Viome, for its continued support and generosity.

“A community is only as strong and vibrant as the people who make it up. When families and children are supported, the entire community thrives, leading to a happier, healthier, and more prosperous environment for everyone,” said Gardenia.
