JC Appliance Services
Coming to the Rescue When Your Major Appliance Decides to Fail

Jeremy and his wife, Kimberlyn, are proud of the company they've built in JC Appliance Services.
Jeremy Cox grew up on a farm in Idaho where there was always something to be fixed. “Whether it was a piece of equipment or a barn door that had been broken by a horse, I remember working alongside my dad fixing things daily,” he recalls fondly. So when it came time to head to college, he decided to study engineering in Spokane.
While in school, Jeremy married his wife, Kimberlyn, and was working in a job at Sacred Heart Hospital when the owner of the building he and his wife were renting in asked if he would take over as the maintenance guy. “He had seen me out working on my car and had heard I was good at fixing things, so I started helping him out on Saturdays and Sundays,” says Jeremy. When that same gentleman bought a Mr. Appliance franchise in 2005, Jeremy went to work for him full-time. “I gained a lot of experience in the industry through manufacturer training as we did a lot of warranty work for the major appliance companies,” he explains.
Jeremy continued with Mr. Appliance until 2012, when he decided to go out on his own and start JC Appliance Services. In 2014, when Kimberlyn was offered a transfer to Seattle through her company, Toyota, they moved their young family here, and Jeremy temporarily went back to apartment maintenance until 2017, when he felt ready to relaunch JC Appliance Services. “As I was rebuilding my own business, I was lucky enough to do subcontract work with a third-generation company here, and that enabled me to build my reputation,” he says. “When the owners of that company were ready to retire last September, I rolled their business into mine.”
Today he does a lot of work for Windermere Real Estate, Albert Lee Appliance, Frederick’s Appliance Center, and Arnold’s Appliance, all of which have stellar reputations themselves, which says a lot about Jeremy’s own reputation as one of their primary service technicians.
“We repair a wide range of major residential appliances including cooktops, stoves, ranges, wine coolers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, ovens, hood vents, microwaves, garbage disposals, compactors, and even water heaters, as I have tons of experience there due to my apartment maintenance background,” he says. Currently, Jeremy is the only technician here, so when you call JC Appliance Services, you get the owner himself servicing your machine (a huge plus in my book!). He has a part-time technician who fills in when things get especially busy, and his wife, Kimberlyn, is his dispatcher, along with another he inherited when he bought the second business. “I plan to grow the company as business gets back to its pre-pandemic level, but we lost several older technicians to retirement during that time, and a few simply moved on,” he adds.
In talking with Jeremy, it is obvious how much he enjoys what he does and the customers he serves. He is exactly the kind of person you would not only trust to fix your major appliances but also to be in your home with or without you present. When asked what he loves most about the business, Jeremy says, “When you get a phone call from someone who has a failed appliance and a wet load of laundry sitting in the washer or food they are going to lose in the refrigerator, being able to get them back up and running is so gratifying.” If he is not able to get a part that day, he will do everything possible to provide a temporary fix in the meantime, which is not often the case with other companies. One way he does this is by acquiring used appliances and keeping them in his garage for backups when a client needs them. “During the holidays especially, being able to bring over a backup refrigerator while we wait for a part to come in is a lifesaver for people,” he says. As one client says:
“Jeremy is fantastic! He was prompt with responses and super quick to come out and inspect our machine. Highly recommend him and would absolutely hire him again!” — Fredric S., Bellevue
Another way JC Appliance Services goes above and beyond is by having no limits on the age or brand of appliance they service. “I get phone calls from customers who have called four or five different repair companies, all of whom have said their appliance is too old to service or is a brand they don’t service, but I will work on any and everything no matter the age or brand,” says Jeremy. “I have gone to eBay to find parts and have used perseverance and ingenuity to fix appliances that otherwise would not have been able to be fixed,” he adds proudly. If he can’t fix it or if his fix doesn’t work, there is no charge to the customer other than the service call itself. As Jeremy points out, “You are hiring me to give you a result, so if I can’t give you that result, you don’t pay.”
JC Appliance Repair offers a standard 90-day warranty on both parts they supply and labor, and encompasses a wide service area, so be sure to call them for your next major appliance emergency and they’ll have you up and running in no time!
