2024 Overlake Bandage Ball

More than 550 people from across the region attended Overlake Medical Center & Clinics’ signature event—Bandage Ball 2024—raising $1.4 million to support the organization and its top-quality, compassionate care.

Bandage Ball attendees including downtown Bellevue business owners, Claire Sumadiwirya (back row, center, owner of Bellden Café), Bobby Moore (back row, second from right, Bis on Main).

Presented by GLY Construction and held at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue, the event included a dinner, program, online and live auctions, and a heart-wrenching patient story. The after party featured music by The Sliding Eights, a local band fronted by Overlake doctor Bobby Binford, MD, and several other Overlake caregivers.

“Our theme this year was the power of community,” said J. Michael Marsh, Overlake president and CEO. “And our community really delivered. Their generous support helps our skilled and talented teams continue their vital work of providing exceptional care to our patients.”

During the event, Marsh touted Overlake’s expanding reach. In just the past year, patients from 37 of Washington’s 39 counties, all 50 states, three U.S. territories and 18 countries received treatment at Overlake.

Overlake’s growth would not be possible without the continued support of the community.

“We thank the many sponsors, donors and volunteers who came together to make this year’s Bandage Ball a success,” said Molly Stearns, Overlake’s Chief Development Officer. “Their generosity is inspiring, and we are so proud to be a part of this incredible community.”
