Bellevue Schools Foundation Block Party Brings Families Together for Fun and Education

On October 14th, Bellevue School District families, educators, and supporters gathered on the lawn of Bellevue Downtown Park to connect and celebrate Bellevue School Foundation’s support of the 18,000+ students enrolled in Bellevue’s public schools.

The event was a tremendous success, with throngs of attendees consuming 900 donated burgers from Dick’s Drive-In! Families enjoyed a bounce house, close encounters with reptiles, a magic show, and remarks from Superintendent Dr. Aramaki. Treats and experiences such as face painting, macarons, bundt cakes, balloons, rice bowls, a magic show, and donated coffee from Bellden Café were highlights of the event.

Not only was the Block Party a chance for Bellevue families to connect with one another, but it was also a moment to appreciate the critical role Bellevue Schools Foundation plays in our community. This year, the Foundation is contributing nearly $1,000,000 to support critical programs within the Bellevue School District that are not funded through state and federal sources. Its staff, trustees, and volunteers work tirelessly throughout the year to ensure Bellevue students have access to mental health support, a computer science curriculum, early learning opportunities, author visits, field trips, robotics, and more.
