Goody Dhillon Finds Purpose at Haidlen Ford

Meet Goody Dhillon, Haidlen Ford's Mobile Service Manager.

For the past two years, Gurtej “Goody” Dhillon has found more than a workplace at Haidlen Ford. He has become part of a team where every person contributes, every customer matters, and success is shared.
Earlier in his career, Goody believed being a great employee meant completing his own responsibilities and doing his job well. Over time, however, his perspective changed. He realized that the best employees look beyond themselves. They notice when coworkers need support, step in without being asked, and take pride in helping the entire team succeed.
Accountability is the value Goody tries to bring to work every day. To him, it means being someone his coworkers and customers can depend on. When he sees someone who needs help, he does not think, “That’s not my job.” Instead, he considers what he can do to move things forward.
That commitment extends to every customer Haidlen Ford serves. A vehicle is rarely just a vehicle. It may be how someone gets to work, cares for family members, or stays connected to the important parts of daily life. An unexpected repair can create significant stress. For Goody, some of the most rewarding moments come when he sees the relief on a customer’s face after the team has found a solution and helped that person get back on the road.
Those experiences remind him that working at a dealership is also about earning trust. The goal is not simply to repair a vehicle. It is to provide honest guidance, quality service, and solutions that make life easier. Programs such as Mobile Service, which brings certified Ford service directly to customers, reflect Haidlen Ford’s commitment to adapting as customers’ needs and expectations evolve.
Working with people has also taught Goody patience and compassion. He understands that no one truly knows what another person may be facing. Listening before reacting, remaining calm during challenges, and focusing on solutions can make a meaningful difference. These lessons have helped him become more patient with family and friends and more open to different perspectives.
Being recognized by Haidlen Ford was both humbling and meaningful for Goody. He credits owner Erich Haidlen with creating a family atmosphere where employees feel valued, supported, and motivated to grow.
Goody’s advice to a new employee is simple: stay motivated, keep learning, ask questions, and be willing to help. People remember attitude, integrity, and kindness. When someone genuinely cares about teammates and customers, he believes success will follow.
