Double the Aussie Doodles, Double the Fun
Meet Leia and Lizzy — two playful pups bringing twice the joy to their Riverstone family.
Life is always a little brighter—and a lot more fun—when Leia and Lizzy are around. These two mini Aussiedoodle sisters may only be a year apart, but they’ve already created plenty of happy memories for their family.
Leia, the oldest, was born on May 30, 2024. Her name was originally given by the breeder, but it turned out to be the perfect fit. Her family had a tradition of naming dogs after royalty, so Princess Leia carried on the legacy in style. She certainly lives up to her royal title, too—often found sunbathing in the pool on her favorite floating turtle or perched proudly on the back of the sofa, keeping a watchful eye on the front door as the household’s self-appointed guard dog.
Lizzy joined the family a little later, with a story that’s just as memorable. While vacationing in Lisbon, Portugal, the family received photos of Leia happily playing with a friend’s Goldendoodle named Ozzie. That’s when the idea of getting a second dog sparked. From the other side of the world—on a cruise ship, no less—they searched the breeder’s website and placed a deposit that same night. Lizzy’s name became a fun blend of Lisbon and Ozzie, forever tying her story to that unforgettable trip.
Though they share the same Australian Shepherd dad, the two pups have very different personalities. Leia enjoys relaxing and keeping watch, while Lizzy is the pair's carefree entertainer. She loves chasing a ball for hours and has even been known to show off her dancing skills.
Together, these half-sister doodles keep their family smiling every day. As their owners say, dogs bring unconditional love—and in this case, two doodles mean double the happiness.
