I was lucky enough to discover a brand-new pop-up business while driving down Grand Lakes Drive the other day: Luke & Beau’s Lemonade & Cookie Stand.

 

Their mom, Danielle, was teaching these two shy young entrepreneurs the value of earning their own money – something especially nice to see in a neighborhood where it might be easier to simply hand it to them.

 

I suspect Mom also had a hand in product development, because the amazing chocolate chip cookies – available plain or salted – paired perfectly with a cold glass of lemonade on a hot summer day.

 

It was the kind of neighborhood lemonade stand many of us remember having as kids, although I’m fairly certain ours weren’t nearly this well-organized … or this delicious!

 

With several cars pulling up alongside me to sample their goods, I imagine Luke and Beau sold out pretty quickly.

 

Very impressive venture, boys! And good job, Mom, for turning a simple summer lemonade stand into a sweet lesson about entrepreneurship, hard work and the satisfaction of earning your own money.
